Eating Disorder Basics for Medical Professionals
Learn updates to the DSM-5 Diagnosis of eating disorders, common complications and co-morbidities
Intro course to the four main types of eating disorders. DSM-5 and ICD-10 codes, common co-morbidities and medical complications are discussed.
This class is for anyone who is interested in an overview of eating disorders, or as a primer for my more in-depth class: Eating Disorder Education (coming soon)
p.s. - check that one out if you are a medical professional - we get into how to assess, diagnose, and talk to people who have or might have an eating disorder, without triggering them! Read the description for more info.
This course is not for those with active eating disorders. It is purely informational, and is not intended to treat, or diagnose any individual.
Hi! My name is Libby Parker, and I am a Registered Dietitian (or nutrition expert) with both a Bachelor's and a Master's Degree in Nutrition Science. I specialize in eating disorders, and am finishing an advanced credential as a "Certified Eating Disorder Registered Dietitian" from the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals. I am also a performer (singer/dancer/musical theatre), and love to work with and educate performers on better health practices.
I have been teaching nutrition classes at a local college both in-person and online for several years, and decided to bring my experience to YOU in the comfort of your own home - no admissions application necessary!
